Cosmos mystery house yelp8/9/2023 ![]() The long stretch of road is actually downhill but the “optical illusion” causes the road to appear like an upslope. Many scientists have visited the land to study the anomaly and according to some, the phenomenon is caused by none other than optical illusion. The locals however, believe that the stretch of the road contains magnetic property, or has intense magnetic fields, which is what causes the cars to move uphill. There are several different theories that explain the “gravity-defying” phenomenon. According to the locals, when cars are left in neutral, they would go uphill. The Magnetic Hill in Leh Ladakh, is allegedly believed to have magnetic properties. While it’s not exactly sure why visitors experience intense feelings of vertigo, some say it’s due to gravity anomalies, while others say it’s a concentration in the Earth’s magnetic fields. Native Americans referred to it as the Forbidden Ground and according to some reports, animals refuse to enter the space that is known as the Oregon Vortex. Since the early 1930’s, people started noticing strange anomalies around the area. The land was once a mining company assay office but was later abandoned. The Oregon Vortex is a place that is 165 feet in diameter and is known to cause intense feelings of vertigo. Visitors also recall that during their visits, tall people appear shorter when they are at the spot. Since the discovery, thousands of people have flocked to the Mystery Spot, to explore the place where “gravity does strange things”. ![]() For instance, their tripod as well as the level would always be drawn far to the east, while showing that it was reading level. As they were moving through the lands, one day they stumbled upon a patch of land where their surveying equipment wasn’t functioning properly. ![]() During this time period, three surveyors named Clarence, Fred and McCray wanted to explore the upper Michigan peninsula, so they left California to begin their journey. Here, we are listing some intriguing places on Earth, where gravity seems to work in reverse.ġ. Meanwhile, a few of them are due to the sheer power of mother nature. ![]() In some cases, it’s due to a scientific anomaly that scientists are still trying to understand. However, throughout our planet, there are certain places where gravity simply seems to work in reverse. Gravity is an important force, which is what keeps us on the ground and what causes objects to fall. The “aha moment” made him think of the why and how’s, which eventually led him to come up with his law of gravity. Legend has it that when a young Isaac Newton was sitting under an apple tree, an apple fell on his head. ![]()
